Design for Peace Ecosystems is a research and didactical initiative promoted by three universities where a laboratory or research group actively explores the relationship between design and the peace economy, engaging in the realms of education and public outreach.

POLIFACTORY

Department of Design – Politecnico di Milano

Polifactory is the makerspace of the Politecnico di Milano. It is an interdepartmental research laboratory that explores the relationship between design and new models of production and distribution of contemporary product-services with a focus on processes of circular transition, digital transformation, user involvement and participation.

DESIGN FACTORY JAVERIANA

Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotà

Design Factory Javeriana is first and foremost an academic platform of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana to support the development of products and services. It comprises a physical infrastructure, but more importantly, a pedagogical model that invites, motivates and enables the collaboration of various disciplines in the search for innovative solutions based on design processes.

LGD, NEXT AND LGS LABS

The LGD (Design Management Lab) develops research, services and actions on design management in organizations as well as studies on the aspects that influence its development and dissemination. NEXT (Three-dimensional Experimentation Center) develops research on experimental and innovative design processes through physical and virtual three-dimensional simulation and modeling. LDS (Socio-Environmental Design Lab) carries out study of Eco Design strategies, methods and project techniques; research on eco-efficient products; cultural aspects involved in the adoption of sustainable products, reduction and remanufacturing processes; research on sharing, service economy and durability in the Product Development Process.
